The formatting wizard provides a means to bulk change various things in topic comments and RapidRemarks, such as changing to a new font, updating linked text to use new tags, set paragraph spacing, etc.  Once you select a tab, the menu will disappear.  You can bring up the menu again by clicking the "hamburger" style "Formatting Menu" button in the top left corner.

 

To invoke the Formatting Wizard, select what you want to perform the formatting to and then right click to select the Formatting Wizard from the pop-up menu.  You can select text, topics, chapters, RapidRemarks and RapidRemark Folders to perform the same action on just some text, or groups of topics, a whole report / template, or one or more RapidRemarks.

 

 

The things you can change include:

 

•Change Font Characteristics
Change font name, size, color, style.  Preserves Symbol based font name like those used for checkboxes.
 

•Remove Paragraph Formatting
Remove bullets, indentation and other paragraph related formatting.  Preserves tables.
 

•Remove All Formatting
Remove bullets, indentation and allows a change to font characteristics (name, size, color and style).  Preserves tables and symbol based font names like those used for checkboxes.
 

•Reset Table Margins and/or Borders
Re-aligns table margins to be consistent by setting their left and right margins to line up with the topic's left and right margins, and it can also reset each cell's left/right indent.  You also have an option to turn off the borders of tables.
 

•Set Paragraph Format
Allows for adjustment of paragraph formatting for alignment and spacing settings such as spacing before and after the paragraph as well as between each line of the paragraph.
 

•Trim Blank Lines
Removes all leading and/or trailing blank lines.
 

•Clean Up Bullet Attributes
Attempts to convert non-WhisperReporter style bullets to a compatible WhisperReporter bullet style.
 

•Update Linked Text
Provides the ability to change a linked text qualifier from qualifier to another, removing the tags entirely, and updating the prefix/numbering attribute.
 

•Update Picklists
Provides the ability to change picklists that are being used in topic comments or RapidRemarks from one picklist to another.
 

•Update Stylesheets
WhisperReporter does not currently provide the means to work with stylesheets directly.  However, WhisperReporter still has the need to be able to change stylesheets that may have been copied/pasted from Microsoft Word or an internet page, etc.  We provide the ability to manipulate a stylesheet's settings using the Formatting Wizard.
 

•Change Character
Provides a way to change a special character throughout a report or set of RapidRemarks.
