Deleting a Report View

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Before deleting a report view, we need to make sure the view is not being used by any reports. Look at the usage statistics and make sure:

1.The text is not red.

2.It says “This view is not being used by any reports or templates. It is OK to remove”

If the view is being used and you still want to delete the view, you will need to open each report that is using the view and change the view they are using or archive off the report. Once all reports and templates have been disassociated with the view we can delete it. This is a two-step process:

1.Delete all of the chapters and topics in the view. Select each chapter one-by-one and use the node delete button DeleteNode to delete the chapter. Do the same on any individual topics that are left.

2.Click [Delete…] on the menu. Confirm that you want to delete the view when prompted.
