With a topic layout you can make a topic editable or read only, set automatic headings and add mandatory text. A layout is required unless you intend the topic to be completely free of any of headings, mandatory text or indentation. When a topic is selected in the navigation pane, the current layout is displayed in the layout preview window. Change the topic layout by clicking the down arrow in the Layout field. To view the topic layout full size, easily scroll through existing topic layouts or create a new layout, press the settings gear icon to the far right of the Layout dropdown.
