WhisperReporter Ascent includes access to four different AI Chat clients using a built in internet browser window. The four are: ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft CoPilot and Anthropic Claude.
To access the chat window, use one of the following methods:
•The menu sequence Edit > AI Chat
•Right click the topic editor and select AI Chat
•Use Ctrl+F7 from the keyboard
•Create a custom toolbar button with the Action set to Open AI Chat Window, with a caption of AIChat for example. This makes it easy to open the chat window quickly and conveniently.
Any one of those methods will bring up the AI Chat window where you can then select your preferred client. The window can remain open as you work within Ascent.
Some of these AI clients can even help you improve your narratives and correct grammar. For example, with Google Gemini, first ask it to "correct grammar", it will then ask you to provide the text where you can then copy paste the text from Ascent to Gemini.
