The last thing we need to do is set the topic view as a form entry style topic so that the report writer cannot type anywhere else except in the fields.

 

1.Go to Report Designer > Report View Manager.

2.In the left pane click on the topic that contains the form.

3.Find the Layout field, in the middle pane, and click the gear icon to its right.

4.Check off “Form Entry Style” click [Apply] and/or [OK] to save the topic layout and close the manager.

 

This new Layout can be used on any topic where you have a form. Simply choose it from the dropdown in step 2 instead of clicking the gear icon.
